How Safe is Your Data? 

Protecting your company’s data against loss is the first step in recovering from a disaster. The backup system has multiple components:

• Operating Systems (Windows Server)
• Applications (Databases, Email, etc)
• Files Shares

Requirements for recovering these systems are the driving points behind how you’re backing them up. Are you backing up to tape, to disk, online, or a hybrid of these?  How long are you retaining backups, are you legally responsible maintain copies for a specific time period?  Where are you storing your backups?  Is it secure?  What is an acceptable recovery time frame or downtime you company can sustain?
